SARAH & HARRISON ~ BRYMPTON HOUSE WEDDING, SOMERSET.

An elegant and style conscious Somerset wedding in one of the best venues in the South

As wedding venues go in Somerset, Brympton house is right up there with the best. Sarah and Harrison knew this idyllic country house was perfect for their style conscious wedding. Sarah’s beautifully embellished dress from Suzanne Neville complimented the black tie weddiing vibes so well and gave that added layer of elegance to the overall aesthetic.

Sarah and Harrison both got ready within Brympton House and it’s stunning grounds. Harrison opting for the library bar for some pre-wedding nerve settlers with the rest of the groomsmen. Sarah and her bride squad used the perfectly lit bridal suite that Brympton House has to offer. As far as bridal preparation spaces go, this has to be my favourite that I’ve shot in to date. There’s oodles of space and the decor has that country estate charm with a modern touch which suited these two down to a tee. I mean, just look at the setting for those dress shots!

The wedding itself took place in the naturally lit Castle House, with it’s church like atmosphere it was the perfectly romantic setting to tie the knot followed by drinks and canapés on south lawn over looking the lake whilst being showered with the mid-May sunshine. Sarah and Harrison were all about the good vibes and laughs throughout the day and forgetting the camera was even there for the majority.

Speeches from Sarah’s dad, the groomsmen and Harrison were emotional. I do love a good speech and these didn’t disappoint, all approaching their speeches from different angles and giving me more of an insight into the lives which is always so lovely to hear.

The sun was just a gift the whole day and I knew from the off that the evening couple portraits were going to be incredible. Taking Sarah and Harrison for a quiet moment after dinner to explore the grounds of Brympton House with it’s expertly manicured gardens and epic country estate backdrops. I mean, just take a look at some of the shots below!

HERE’S SOME WORDS FROM SARAH & HARRISON.

Venue: Brympton House, Somerset

Names: Sarah & Harrison Harding

Age: 29 & 30

Wedding Budget: £30k

Tell me how you met, all the details

Met at school through a friend, and that was that! Been together since 16 & 17 so nearly 14 years now!

How did you get engaged?

I whisked her off her feet to a lovely hotel at Streatley on Thames during the summer, whilst overlooking the beautiful river and enjoying a lovely beverage i got down on one knee and gave her the best opportunity of her life....

How & why did you chose your venue?

We looked at three venues in total, however i knew as soon as we arrived at Brympton and saw her reaction i knew that was that, the next day our date was reserved. The grounds, the beautiful house and atmosphere just sold it for us.

Tell me more about your wedding dress

We went for the groomsmen a classic tuxedo look which seems to be the in thing at the moment. For the bride the dress went for a Gigi Suzanne Neville dress, the detail and the square neck really sold it!

What was the theme / styling / inspiration for your day?

Classic, simple and neutral.

Was there a stand out moment from your day, explain the moment?

The castle house ceremony, so many memories and will never forget seeing each other for the first time whilst the bride was walking down the aisle. Goosebumps!

If you were to do it again, is there anything you would change?

We didnt actually have time to cut the cake! So we didnt get any photo's of that, however wasnt a big deal but someone was late arriving down the aisle.... so we were playing catch up during the whole day!

Any tips for future couples?

Don't try to people please, its your day and your moment. Do what you want to do and dont worry about what others think, most people there on your special day just want to celebrate with you and are happy to do anything if it makes you both happy! Take it all in as it goes in a flash and the next day its a blur!
